My Services
French as a mother-tongue
As a native French speaker, I enjoy teaching FLAM (Français Langue Maternelle) students who wish to follow the French national curriculum and maintain a strong connection with the French culture.
My FLAM lessons are conducted entirely in French, of course, with a strong emphasis on grammar, conjugation, reading and writing.
I also prepare students for the DELF (French language certification) examinations, guiding them through the skills and techniques to succeed.
One-to-one lessons are available online or in person, with home tuition available for students in my local area.
French as a foreign language
From complete beginners to advanced learners, I teach French as a foreign or additional language to students of all ages. Whether you need general support with schoolwork or preparation for GCSE, A- levels or DELF examinations, I can help you develop your language skills and build your confidence.
If you simply want to improve your conversational French for work, travel or pleasure, I can help you communicate with confidence in real-life situations.
Lesson length and frequency are flexible and can be tailored to suit your individual needs.
Group or individual lessons
I offer both individual and small-group lessons, depending on your learning goals and preferences.
Individual lessons provide personalised support and are tailored to your pace, interests and specific objectives. They are ideal if you are preparing for an exam, need help with schoolwork, or would like to make rapid progress.
Group lessons offer a more friendly and interactive environment where students can practise speaking together and learn from one another. They are perfect for friends, siblings or small groups of learners with a similar level and shared goals.
About Me
Hello
I am Caroline, a French native speaker who grew up in Verneuil-sur-Seine, a charming and peaceful town in the western suburbs of Paris, France. From an early age, I developed a passion for languages, particularly English. I studied English and Spanish at university and graduated from Cergy-Paris University with a Master’s degree in Legal & Business translation.
In 2004, I followed my dreams and moved to London, UK, where I built a successful career in the translation and media localisation industry working as a translator, proofreader, subtitler and project manager. After becoming a mother, I was looking for greater flexibility and a better work-life balance which led me to become self-employed and discover another true passion: teaching languages.
Today, I specialise in teaching French to learners of all ages and levels. Whether you’re learning for work, travel, exams or simply for the love of the language, I create engaging, personalised lessons that help you build confidence and make real progress.
If you’re looking for a supportive, experienced and enthusiastic French teacher, I’d love to help you on your language-learning journey.
