Translation
I provide personalised and reliable translation services from English into French. I mean quality, human translation, not machine translation, of course! The writing will be adapted to your needs and requirements so you can really engage your audience and reach your clients around the world.
I can also review your translation or text in French to correct any grammatical or linguistic errors. And if you’ve used machine translation and you’re not happy with the result, I can help.
I will need to see your document/content in order to give you a quote. And I will happily recommend a colleague if it falls outside of my area of expertise.

Tutoring
As a native French speaker living in the UK, I teach French as a foreign language (FLE), French as a mother tongue (FLAM) and English as an additional language (EAL).
From beginner to advanced level, whether you need help with your schoolwork, with exam preparation (GCSE and A levels) or you want to improve your conversational skills, I can help you develop your knowledge and increase your confidence.
I teach online or in person, if you live in my area. I offer one-to-one lessons or small and larger group lessons. The length of the lesson and the frequency (twice weekly, once a week, once fortnightly…) can be adapted to meet your needs.

About Me
Hello
I am Caroline, a French native speaker who grew up in Verneuil-Sur-Seine, a cute and quiet little town in the West suburbs of Paris, France. My favourite subjects at school were languages and I quickly developed a passion for the English language and culture. I studied English and Spanish at university and, in 2000, I graduated from CY Cergy Paris University with a Master’s degree in Legal & Business translation.
Following my dreams, I moved to London, UK, in 2004 and have been working in the translation/media localisation industry ever since as a translator, proofreader, subtitler or project manager. After I had my children, I was craving flexibility and a better work-life balance so I went freelance, working as a translator, a private tutor and a teacher.
I created my own website because I am dedicated to delivering high-quality translations & lessons with a high level of professionalism, and I don’t believe you get the best results when using a big translation agency, a tutoring agency or a machine translation software. So if you want a job well done, get in touch. It’s as simple as that.
